There is nothing to sign up for, and we never know who you are.

No data collected

Hansei's App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected." No analytics, ads or tracking.

Place names

To label where an entry was made, Hansei asks Apple's map service for the name of the location, never the entry itself. Turn this off any time with Strict Privacy.

Locked when you're not looking

Face ID protects the app, and entries recorded from the Lock Screen are sealed until you unlock.

Optional iCloud sync

Off unless you turn it on. Everything is encrypted on your iPhone before it leaves, so Apple stores only sealed data and we can't see it at all. Add a passphrase for a second lock; you'll get a one-time recovery key in case you forget it.

Honest limits

If you forget both your passphrase and your recovery key, your iCloud copy can't be opened by anyone, including us. Your iPhone's copy is unaffected.
